Uhura is an AI-powered customer communication platform that enables users to:

• Create and configure custom AI agents
• Deploy agents through web portals, Slack, and Discord
• Manage conversations and customer interactions
• Upload documents to create knowledge bases
• Connect external APIs for enhanced functionality

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as necessary.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

3.3 Organizations

You may create or join organizations to collaborate with others. Organization owners and administrators are responsible for managing member access and permissions.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use Uhura to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Generate, store, or distribute illegal, harmful, or abusive content
• Attempt to bypass AI safety measures or "jailbreak" agents
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
• Interfere with or disrupt the platform or servers
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
• Engage in any activity that could harm minors
• Use the service for spam or unsolicited communications
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code

5. Agent Configuration Guidelines

When configuring AI agents, you are responsible for:

• Ensuring agent instructions comply with applicable laws
• Implementing appropriate guardrails for your use case
• Monitoring agent outputs and addressing issues promptly
• Not configuring agents to generate harmful or illegal content
• Securing any API keys or credentials used by agents

6. Portal Users and Customers

If you deploy agents through public portals, you are responsible for:

• Ensuring your portal users understand they are interacting with AI
• Managing portal user invitations and access
• Maintaining appropriate terms and privacy notices for your portal users
• Complying with data protection laws regarding your portal users' data

7. API Usage and Rate Limits

We may impose rate limits and usage quotas on API calls. You agree to:

• Comply with documented rate limits and usage guidelines
• Not attempt to circumvent usage restrictions
• Implement appropriate error handling for rate limit responses

Excessive usage may result in temporary or permanent access restrictions.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Property

The Uhura platform, including its software, design, logos, and documentation, is owned by Noldor Technologies (Pty) Ltd and protected by intellectual property laws.

8.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create, including agent configurations, uploaded documents, and conversation data. You grant us a license to host, process, and display this content as necessary to provide our services.

8.3 AI-Generated Content

AI-generated responses are provided "as is". We make no claims to ownership of AI-generated content and are not responsible for its accuracy or appropriateness.

9. Third-Party Integrations

When you connect external APIs, Slack, Discord, or other third-party services:

• You are responsible for compliance with their terms of service
• We are not liable for issues arising from third-party services
• You must have appropriate authorization to make such connections

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• AI responses will be accurate, complete, or appropriate
• The service will meet your specific requirements
• Any errors will be corrected

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NOLDOR TECHNOLOGIES (PTY) LTD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Service interruptions or data loss
• Damages arising from AI-generated content
• Unauthorized access to your account

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Noldor Technologies (Pty) Ltd from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the service will immediately cease
• You may request export of your data within 30 days
• We may delete your data after 30 days

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

15. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

16. Severability
